Annual Christmas Card Picture

It's always a challenge to get all four girls dressed and ready to take a Christmas photo. They are getting older and its getting easier, but can you get the perfect smile and look from all four at the same time?? I love taking pictures and the girls make it fun!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. With 80 degree weather sometimes it's hard to get into the Christmas spirit, but putting up Christmas lights in your shorts is a lot easier. Lance is ready for the cold and this weekend we got a little taste -- finally in the 50's.

We are so thankful for family and friends and pray you have a great Christmas.

Busy Fall Days

We were so excited to take an unexpected trip to San Antonio. We met my family there for the state cross country meet. My brother Matt and his team ran on Saturday and came in 4th overall!! We had a blast cheering him on.

It has been a long time since we have been to Sea World, so we were excited to visit!! The crowds were light and the weather was perfect. We had a great time. Shamu was definitely our favorite, but after sitting in the spash zone for the first show, we learned our lesson. The water was so cold, and we were all soaked!! We sat in the sun for a while, but it was still very chilly. The girls fed the dolphins, and that was Abby's favorite part. Ashton and Alyssa are finally big enough to ride the roller coasters, and they had a blast. Lines were short, so they were able to ride them many times.

November 1st -- Happy Birthday, Abby!! Abby turned six years old this month. She is such a precious little girl. She brings a smile to our face, and she has the cutest little voice that I could listen to for the rest of my life and never get tired of. She is also the most persistent of the Price girls. She knows what she wants and does not give up easily!! We love you, Abby!!

Halloween!! We always have fun dressing up and trick or treating around the neighborhood. This year we had a cat, Elizabeth from Pirates of the Caribbean, Snow White and a witch. This year for our annual pumpkin carving, I actually bought the little carving tools. They turned out so good. Ashton did a ghost, and it looked awesome. Its amazing what you can do with the right tools. At dark we headed out to the neighbors. The girls found friends and got more candy than they could eat all year. It was a fun night!

Thank you so much to all of you who have been praying for us. We don't always understand what God is up to and sometimes we'll never know. But He is teaching us, growing us, strengthening us and I am praying that I am learning something new along the way. Lance was asked to stay as the teaching pastor at Community of Faith, and we've decided to stay. He is preaching at the Fort Bend campus with a few other responsibilities at the main campus here in Cypress. I am so glad the girls will be able to stay at their school and move ahead in the relationships they have already made. We have met many great families in our neighborhood and are glad to be staying put. We love you all and miss you very much!

Ashton's Birthday

Every year seems to go by faster and faster. Ashton turned 11 years old September 25th!! She changes constantly before my eyes. She loves to talk and be with friends. This year has brought many changes to her life, but she has amazed me at her ability to adapt to her new surroundings. She is a great big sister and an awesome daughter!!

No, it's not Lance and Chaim's Birthday, but it sure was funny watching them get up on their chairs with their peanuts and sing to them anyway. We had a quick trip up to Sherman to have dinner with a few friends and we all had a great time catching up. I was so excited to see Carla on her "new" bike. Needless to say I was very jealous -- even though I have no idea how to drive a motorcycle, much less hold it up by myself. But the thought of having my own is very cool!!

It's crazy the things we do for our children!! I spent last Saturday night with a very large crowd of young screaming girls to see Jump 5 in their farewell concert in Arlington. Ashton and Alyssa have been very big fans and they had a blast!! Ashton and her friend Emily have been friends since birth. They go to my parents' church and whenever we are in town, they love to get together. They sat together at the concert!!

Alyssa and Hannah have become good friends, also. Her big sister is friends with my brother Matt. They loved to see who could scream the loudest!! Wow, that little girl is loud!
Of course, after the concert was over, we stood in line for autographs!! The girls loved this new group called "Pure NRG." They are not much older than Ashton, and they thought that was so cool!! What can I say, I love to see the girls smile and they had a great night!!!

Back to the Books

The start of a new school year!! Ashton and Alyssa jumped right in and have already started to make their mark on a new place. They have made lots of new friends. One family in particular down the street that just moved in last week -- they have 3 girls and are very close in age to our girls. They have been spending most of their free time either at their house or ours. We're riding the bus this year and I have to say it is great! It's definitely their favorite part of the day!

Abby started Kindergarten this year!! She is doing great, when the alarm goes off every morning she's not quite sure if its a good day for school, but by the time the bus arrives she's off with a smile.

Happy Anniversary!! 13 Years to be exact. Every year gets better and better. We really enjoyed a night out together. Lance found this incredible steak house near downtown Houston, it was a quiet place and our table was tucked into the back corner (very romantic!) we had hours of focused time -- that's rare in a house full of girls!! The grounds had beautiful gardens, waterfalls and winding paths -- it was raining (of course) and we only looked around for a minute, but we'll definitely have to go again.

Labor Day Weekend was spent with family!! We had my parents, Lance's parents, and his brother and their family in for the weekend.
We have such an amazing family, our cousins Lindsey, Katy and Ben are so sweet and the girls love to spend time with them. They played and played for 3 days non-stop!!!

Most of the weekend was spend watching FOOTBALL!! Lance's favorite pass time and just about every other member of the family enjoys it just as much. It was a great time together and we were sad to see them go.

One more quick picure with Nana, Granddad, Uncle Matt and the girls!!

Happy Birthday Alyssa!!

WOW -- Alyssa is 9 years old this week!! Isn't it amazing how time flies. She has brought such joy to our family and a smile that will light up the room. Alyssa started gymnastics this summer and is doing so good, but her favorite things are still art and dogs!! She is off to 3rd grade at her new school and we can't wait for the first day!!

We took a quick trip to Galveston this past weekend. This is about as close as we got to the ocean -- but the kids had to stick their feet in the sand. We headed to Rainforest Cafe for Birthday dinner with a chocolate volcano for desert!!

The girls wanted to check out the putt putt golf and we had a blast. Look Abby made her first hole in one!

After a quick stay in a hotel we headed out for Schlitterbahn the next day. Abby and Alex were big enough to ride everything and the higher and faster the better. We had a great time together. Our favorite was the lazy river which was not lazy at all, there were huge waves and drops and rapids, we laughed, the girls screamed and we all had a blast!

I didn't get any pictures of the Transformation house we have been working on, but I'm still trying to hunt some down so I can share them with you. We had an awesome weekend and the reveal this past weekend was amazing. Lance is still doing a little bit of finish work on the house, but the family has moved in and is loving it. Lance is starting a little bit of a job shift -- he is part of the weekend teaching team and will be preaching most weekends. We are starting a new campus September 2nd and have merged with another church in Missouri City (SW of Houston). Lance, Mark Shook and Damon Shook will have some sort of rotation with the 3 campus'. It is very exciting and Lance is very excited about the opportunity!!

And did you know school starts next week!!!!!

Settling into Summer

We are having a great summer. The girls and I have spent many days at the pool. Alex is swimming like a fish with the rest of her sisters -- she tries her best to keep up. Ashton and Alyssa are having a fun summer together. They have made a few new friends, but they mostly hang out with each other. I love to see them enjoying their time together. Abby is so excited about starting kindergarden -- we register next week! It's hard to believe I'll have 3 in school this year. :)

Can you believe Alex turned four years old this summer?!?! She is such a blessing and a joy to be around. She hasn't had any trouble making new friends. She talks to anyone that looks her way and always brings a smile to everyone around her.

Lance has been very busy at church. Our church has "adopted" a foster family with 11 children with special needs. Their house was is very bad shape so we are doing an extreme makeover at their home! This weekend their will be over 600 volunteers that with be working at the house. Everyone has volunteered for 4 hour shifts and many are doing multiple shifts!! It will be an exciting weekend. I can't wait to share pictures.

I'm working more than ever. I'm staying busy with my usual weekly work, but I'm also in charge of organizing all the volunteers for the foster home!!

Life is crazzzzy around here, we love you and miss you all very much. I love hearing from you, so keep in touch!

Mother's Day

What an awesome weekend!! Lance came home for a visit. He surprised the girls -- I have never heard that level of scream before when he pulled into the driveway. They were excited to say the least. I have a whole new appreciation for Lance, I don't ever want to do this without him again!! We had a great time just hanging out as a family. Lance also gave me some much needed time off.

Great News!! We sold our house -- we close May 31 -- Isn't God great -- everything is falling into place perfectly. We will be sleeping in our new house for good June 1st!

We headed to Arlington for Mother's Day. I got to spend the day with my mom -- She is my best friend. I am so blessed to have a mom who has been such a role model for me, as a woman, a wife and a mother. She is my support and I don't know what I would do without her. "Thank you for being my MOM"

We had lunch at my Aunt Leigh and Uncle Rod's house. The men served us for the day and they did an awesome job. I have a wonderful group of women in my life and I think I'm just about the luckiest one. My grandmother is an amazing woman who has pasted down a solid legacy of faith to her family. My Aunt Leigh is such an encouragement to me and I always love to be in her home, she is a wonderful mother and very special woman in my life. What a great day!!

Texas Blue Bonnets

We always love to take pictures in the bluebonnets. This year they were beautiful!! The drive down to Houston was so amazing. There we all kinds of wild flowers -- red, yellow, blue and white.

This week is a big week for us. We are closing on our house in Cypress. I taking Lance a load full of household items so he can move into the house and get out of the hotel he has been living in for weeks!! Our house in Sherman is still up for sale -- we have had a lot of lookers and great feedback, but no sale. Keep Praying.

Welcome to our family Blog. I am looking forward to keeping in touch and letting you stay in touch with our family. We love you all!

I have always wanted to do this so here it goes!

Yes, we are moving to Houston. Here is a picture of our new house

We love our new house and our neighborhood!! The girls were happy to find the pool and playground is within walking distance from our house. There will be many summer days spent at the pool. Especially as we are getting used to the Houston heat!

Lance's Mom and Dad came to see us there last weekend. We were all so excited to see them. They are glad we are now 4 hours closer! We look forward to seeing them and the cousins more often.
