Ashton's up to Bat

We are having a lot of fun at the ball field. Ashton has had 3 games and is doing awesome. She has a great team and we have really enjoyed getting to know the other families. For the next month our Saturdays will be spent almost entirely at the field. Abby plays in the morning and Ashton plays in the mid-afternoon. Alex has found the mud/sand pit next to the field and is usually covered before the first inning is over. Needless to say everyone heads straight for the showers as soon as we get home. But hey, thats the best part, I'm know I did the exact same thing when I was little.

Ashton mostly plays short stop and sometimes right field. Lance played short stop at her age and enjoys seeing her play the same position. Last night she caught a fly ball for the 3rd out of the inning. I was going crazy!! A couple friends had walked over to watch Ashton and she was soooo proud that they got to see her big play.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

We love the baseball field. Last week marked the opening day of the season. Abby had her first game last Saturday. She was so fun to watch!! She was ready to run for the ball, a few times she almost took out her teammate going for the ball :) She has her momma's killer instict!

Ashton is also playing this year, but her first game is at the end of the month. She is a great ball player! There is nothing better than springtime at the ballfield!
